Political Beliefs
Political Philosophy
I believe that government is created to serve all people. We need to ensure a social safety net to for those in need. We need Universal Health Care, laws that do not discriminate, safe gun laws, more funding for early education and less for incarceration. More use of restorative justice and less use of punitive justice especially when it comes to our young people. We need to screen those that serve the public and ensure they are treating citizens fairly. We need to confront our history of racism and work to ensure our future does not include some of the otracities of our past. We need to provide housing and help with homelessness. We need to ensure that those with mental health needs get the treatment they need and we deserve. We need to understand that schools are the center of our communities and treat them with the respect they deserve. Schools need to be safe haven for both students, teachers and families.
