My Top 3 Priorities
Reduce crime and homelessness by working with our local government officials and sheriffs to provide solutions.
Prevent catastrophic wildfires by making sure the funding gets to where it needs to go in our communities for managing our forests, clearing out excess fuel, and creating fire breaks around our communities.
As a small business owner I know how tough it is to navigate regulations and endless paperwork to do business in California. We need to make it easier for businesses to employ people by reducing regulation and lowering taxes.

Biography
I have spent the last 40 years managing the day to day operations of my family-owned gun shop. Doing so has given me a passion for second amendment rights and provided insight to the importance of Northstate Representation in Sacramento. I also served on the Redding City Council from 2006 to 2014 with a term as mayor in 2010. I helped lead Redding through a tough recession with integrity and honesty, thus preparing me adequately to serve as your assemblyman.

Political Beliefs
Political Philosophy
My top issues aresecond amendment rights, fully funded pensions, forest management, water rights and representation.
In California today, our gun rights are under attack like never before.I grew up in a gun shop starting at a very young age. The right of the people to keep and bear arms means a lot to me. In fact, much of my life is dedicated to protecting the second amendment.I plan on being the loudest voice in the Assembly on this issue.
Over the past 40 years, operating a small business in Shasta County has taught me how much Sacramento is out of touch with Northern California. Sacramento law makers have failed us in many ways. In District 1 we are seeing vast numbers of hard working people leave California because of excess regulation affecting most small businesses like mine.
