History: I have been a resident of the City of San Bernardino and the 3rd Ward for the last 7 years.
Education: I hold a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Cal State San Bernardino in Public Administration. I am currently working to complete my Doctorate in Public Policy at the University of La Verne.
Real Experience: I worked for the City of San Bernardino for 4 years during the bankrutcy; I started as an Intern and was later hired on full-time. During my time there I was in charge of hiring our City Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Water and Public Works employees. I revamped the hiring process for the Police Department and took it from a 9 month recruting process to 2 months allowing us to hire Police Officers faster. I transitioned the department to 99% paperless and computerized the testing process. I was brought up to the City Manager's Office where I managed the Emergency Shelter Grant Program and the Community Development Block Grant Program.
I worked for the City of Redlands as a Public Relations Manager for the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Department. Providing the public with transpatent and accurate information about capital improvement programs. I also worked on grants applications and a SMART City initiative.
I worked for the City of Riverside in thier Human Resouces Department also hiring for their Police Department.
I worked for the City of Norco in the Economic Development Department and was charged with reaching out to corporations and business to build the city's industry.
I worked for the Lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce and supported the local business district with marketing and public outreach.
