Californians voted to impose taxes on the cannabis industry. Shall the measure, imposing a local general tax on cannabis businesses at rates not exceeding 15% of gross receipts and $25 per square foot of space used for commercial cannabis activities (annually adjusted by CPI) to pay for general City services, including essential public safety, street maintenance and other City services for Suisun City residents, estimated to generate $2,000,000 annually until repealed by voters, be adopted?

YES ON MEASURE C

Voting Yes on Measure C will ensure that any cannabis business operating in the City of Suisun City will pay its fair share of taxes. It is important that these types of businesses contribute to the well-being of our community for the privilege of operating here.

A yes vote will amend the Suisun City Code to add a Cannabis Business Tax to all businesses that sell, cultivate, deliver, distribute, test and manufacture cannabis in the City of Suisun City.

The passage of this measure will produce an estimated $2,000,000 in annual revenue for the city, revenue that can help fund essential public safety, street maintenance and other City services.

Help Suisun City prosper by making sure that cannabis businesses pay their fair share. We respectfully ask you to join us in voting YES ON MEASURE C.
