My Top 3 Priorities

  • Bringing more to do to Fairfield, such as a bowling ally, skating rink, and Topgolf.
  • Employing the homeless who want jobs. Attracting new companies to Fairfield, with the new revenue that brings to then fund mental health services.
  • Increasing civic engagement.

Experience

Biography

I am a firm believer that as civic engagement increases, improvements in our city will follow. I believe in a tomorrow where idealism is at the decision-making table because progress isn’t made with a room of realists, there’s an idealist pushing the dream forward. A tomorrow where the youth have more things to do, a tomorrow where all that can vote, do vote and not just 32%. That is why I’m running for Fairfield City Council.

My educational journey through Vanden High School, Solano Community College, and Napa Valley College led to my Associates Degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics; it continues at the University of California Davis, emphasizing in Economics and Ecology. At Napa Valley College I served as Director of Legislative Affairs, Civic Impact Scholar with the Foundation for California Community Colleges, and served on the governing board of Napa Valley College as Student Trustee; hence, gained experience in advocating, legislating, and stewardship.

I care for civic engagement, it unites people of all ages, races, and backgrounds. My experiences, passion for youth engagement, and faith assure me that I will serve my community with distinction. Progress occurs when ordinary people get involved, get engaged, and come together, to achieve the extraordinary. Let’s work together to be the change we want to see! #ManveerForFairfield

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

My belief is that government will function better if people are involved with government. This applies at the local level, state level, and national level. A government is beholden to its citizens, but if the citizens do not know what the government does then who is the government beholden to? It is this reason that we all need to stay engaged with democracy; our future depends on it. My vision for Fairfield is that as we all vote more and stay engaged with local governance, in doing so local governance will help us more. This will lead to many positive changes, such as more safety, an improved economy, and better schools. We can have all of that, by doing one thing- getting civically engaged.
