Friends my name is Lionel Largaespada- and serving Benicia is my passion.
As a longtime resident, husband, and father of two girls who attend Benicia public schools, I have built a record of service to our community.
I serve as chairman of the Benicia Economic Development Board, sit on the Advocacy Committee at the Benicia Chamber of Commerce and the Design Committee at Benicia Main Street.
I also advise Carquinez Village, and serve as a mentor and fundraiser for Benicia Middle School and Mathew Turner Elementary. In addition, I capo the Son of a Bocces in the Benicia Bocce Ball league.
But I’m most proud of my association with the Benicia Historical Society where I volunteer for the committee that puts on the Benicia Memorial Day ceremony which hands down is the best event for 100 miles around.
I am running for Benicia City as an independent.
I am running for Benicia City Council to give a voice to all residents and stakeholders – and this includes our city employees and businesses small and large.
As your councilmember, I will stand up for you.
As your councilmember, I will work every day to keep Benicia safe and family friendly, preserve its history, find solutions to rising water and sewer costs, expand street maintenance and balance the budget through economic development as opposed to higher taxes and fees.
Between my volunteer work, serving on the Economic Development Board, and speaking with residents across town, I believe I have a good purview into the city, how it works and most importantly what matters to Benicians.
If you want a city council that listens and acts of your best behalf, then I humbly ask you vote Lionel Largaespada for City Council.
