My Top 3 Priorities

  • Mitigating the impacts of natural disasters and drought on the Central Coast: I helped secure a wildfire budgeting fix to adequately fund mitigation and suppression for fires through the US Forest Service. I am working to pass the Water Infrastructur
  • Addressing the rising costs of health care and threats to Medicare and Social Security: In Congress, Carbajal voted to defend the gains we’ve made under the Affordable Care Act as well as make needed reforms to increase competition and reduce costs.
  • Creating more affordable housing opportunities: I voted to increase community housing funding by $4.7 billion. The funding directly translated into nearly 400 new Section 8 vouchers in SB County, opening their waitlist for the first time in 9 years.
