My Top 3 Priorities

Biography
I have lived in Truckee for 23 years. My husband Dean and I own and operate the Pour House Wine Shop, which has been in business for 13 years in downtown Truckee. We also have two children, one who attends Alder Creek Middle School, the other at Truckee High. I am as invested in this community as it is possible to be.
I served on the Conservation Committee that the PUD formed after almost signing a 50 year coal contract in 2006. I learned A LOT that year about how utilities and the grid in Calfornia work. The PUD implemented many of our recommendations, with tremendous success.
With that background, I feel strongly that our environmental problems can best be solved from the bottom up. It is our small, local institutions, cooperating and communicating with each other, that will move us forward.

I’ll ensure our Utility District will perform the necessary due diligence navigating a rapidly evolving energy industry. We need to take a close look on how the TDPUD addresses current operations and procurement of energy and water. I’ll pay equal
Providing safe, clean, and reliable power and water is the cornerstone of the TDPUD. I will always be wise and pragmatic when it comes to maintenance and value-adding upgrades to our communities water and power infrastructure.
Experience
Biography
Although I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, I have always been drawn to Truckee. Starting at a young age, my family would spend our spare time in the Truckee area during summer and winter months enjoying all the beauty and wonderful settings that Truckee has to offer. As soon as I finished with school, Truckee became my full time home, as I was hooked on Truckee early on from my childhood! My wife and I have a rambunctious 3.5 year old daughter, who was born here in Truckee and is the center of our universe. We love our Truckee community. We both have a strong commitment and are compelled to give back for we are grateful for all that we have received from calling Truckee our home.
I have over 20 years of construction management experience in both large scale commercial/public works projects, and high end residential projects that total in excess of $85 million in construction costs. My experience and knowledge will bring many skills and traits that will be beneficial to our community while serving on the TDPUD Board of Directors.
