I am happily married and live in the Woodcrest area of Riverside.  My wife and I have four adult children, two dogs and two horses.  We are very much into a healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise.  We attend and serve at Sandals Church in Riverside.  Our oldest son works at Sandals Church and manages the Farm Restaurant in Palm Springs.  Our only married son and our daughter-in-law live in Orange County where they work and attend school.  Our youngest son is a West Point graduate and currently a Special Forces Officer in the United States Army.  Our baby girl is a firefighter for the City of Calimesa. 

I have been with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department for 25 years.  I am currently a Lieutenant assigned to the Hemet Station.  I am a respected leader within our organization and am honored to have the men and women of your Sheriff's Department endorsing and supporting me in this election.  My background consists of Corrections, Patrol, Vice, Gangs, Narcotics, Traffic, Internal Affairs, Investigations, supervision and management.  

The highlight of my career is spearheading a three day undercover sting that targeted internet pedophiles.  The sting resulted in the arrest and conviction of 52 child predators and was highlighted on NBC Dateline's "To Catch a Predator."  After the sting I assisted in nearly one hundred similar stings across the country and in England. 

Although this is a non partisan election, I consider myself a fiscal conservative.  I will do my absolute best to ensure the Riverside County Sheriff's Department acts as a good steward of your tax payer dollars.  I will cut operating costs, identify efficiencies, and make sure the department operates lean and efficient in these challenging budget times.  I will ensure a positive, transparent working relationship with the Board of Supervisors to make sure public safety is priority number one.

Riverside County Law Enforcement must enter modern times and employ a community oriented policing model to incorporate proactive methods in the identification and solution to quality of life issues in Riverside County.  Engaging the community to assist is the only way we will be able to navigate through the current pro-criminal political climate in California.
