I’m a pro-jobs Democrat. I believe that our state government should be serving the people by creating jobs, expanding opportunity and ensuring that anyone who works hard and plays by the rules has a fair shot to get ahead and stay ahead.
I’ll fight to tackle the challenges ordinary people face – affordable housing, healthcare costs, traffic congestion, getting a quality education and job training to succeed in today’s economy.
I grew up in a working-class family so I share our district’s values and know what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet. My father was a police detective. I attended public schools and worked my way up the ladder in business.
In the State Senate, I’ll put my business experience to work to deliver for our communities and ensure our tax dollars are invested wisely. I’ll never forget my working class roots and I’ll ensure state government serves the people, not the special interests.
I admire our current Governor Jerry Brown who brought California back from the brink of fiscal collapse, turned our state around and is working with both sides to deliver results on transportation, education and clean energy.
