My Top 3 Priorities

  • Get the money out of politics. Money has corrupted our elections. Free speech should be free. Why is government so expensive? Because getting INTO government is expensive. Those millions in campaign donations are repaid with your tax dollars.
  • Changing the messaging and rhetoric coming from the Democrats. They have failed us. Example, I've yet to hear anyone mention that we spend 3 trillion dollars each year on healthcare 500 billion going yo insurers profits and overhead.
  • We need to understand that the Founding Fathers would be the first to do something about gun control, they started a war over a tax on TEA. They would do everything in their power to stop attacks on innocent children.

Biography

Few others can do what I can do!

Because few people have done what I’ve done. It really is that simple. From farm work as a kid, to pumping gas and fixing cars in high school to lab tech/ chemist in college working in quality control and research and development for 8 years to designing sets, building homes, teaching college, calibrating electronics in the Glendale power plant, taking Asbestos out of schools, producing and directing TV shows, building special effects for theme parks and museums, writing and producing stage plays, to building schools, colleges, hospitals, and airports.

Too many people today worry about issues. I don’t have issues. I just have a way of looking at problems and implementing unconventional and mostly simple solutions that actually work.

Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters of California Education Fund (5)

What financing method(s) would you support to repair or improve roads, rails, ports, airports, the electrical grid and other infrastructure in the U.S.?
Answer from Gerald Plummer:

A combination of well regulated bond programs and Public/ Private Partnerships depending on the type of project. I've personally seen the waste in multi-billion dollar school and college bond programs and know where to focus on mis-management of those types of programs. Public Private Partnerships can be crafter into a win/ win for both citizens and private investors  when  the rate of return is clearly written in stone. The electrical grid would be a prime candidate for a PPP.

What programs or legislation, if any, would you support to help Americans of all ages secure affordable health care?
Answer from Gerald Plummer:

Open Medicare to enrollment for all. It has an overhead cost of about 2% and gives access to the sickest and oldest part of our population. While private insurers take as much as 30% in overhead, profits and sky high salaries for upper management. That adds up to about half a trillion dollars of healthcare costs that do NOT buy a single bandage or life saving procedure. I would rather the public have the open option to pay premiums to Medicare and get 98% worth of value for their money than pay insurers and get 70%. That could also lead to covering current Medicaid recipients through grants to pay for Medicare premiums.

Describe an immigration policy that you would support if presented to the Senate.
Answer from Gerald Plummer:

First and foremost, a legal path to citizenship for those now undeer DACA. A clean bill with no other toxic riders or provisions. Maintain the immigration lottery, not some provision that has a bias against those less advantaged. Stop the nonsense of a 25 billion dollar wall that can be scaled by a $25 ladder. Visitor and Student Visas are abused and we need to strictly enforce and follow up on those who come in legally and over stay their privilege. They are here on a limited basis, when that expires we should have all the information necessary to find them, explain their situation, and make sure they get back to their country of origin safely and swiftly.

What programs or legislation would you support to meet the water needs of Californians and the federal water project infrastructure in California?
Answer from Gerald Plummer:

Water storrage and sustainable electrical power can be a win/ win and must be fully implemented where ever possible. Low Impact Development for the construction industry adds unnecessary costs to projects with uncertain results. We need to look more closely at "dry Wells" that capture run-off and allow it to percolate back into the ground water. There are simpler solutions than capturing run-off in cisterns that have a ten year return on investment which makes a gallon of water worth about a dollar a gallon.

According to a "Civility In America” survey, 75% of Americans believe that the U.S. has a major civility problem. If you are elected what will do to address this?
Answer from Gerald Plummer:

There is nothing wrong with political correctness. There is a lot wrong with the attacks on those who support the idea that PC is somehow against free speech. I want to change the fiailed message coming from the Democrats and counter the hate, mis-information, and constant harrange from the other side with simple facts, a sense of our history, and remind everyone that all we need to know and act on was clearly given to us in Christ's Sermon on the Mount. In essence most of us want the same things, we just have different ideas of how we can get there.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I can’t stand politics or politicians!

I made the choice to work at smaller companies most of my life because there was less politics. To me politics is simply a way for people to point fingers and cover up their own incompetence.

I do not function well in that environment. For those who know me, have worked with me through the years, I have created a “brand.” Always trying to exceed expectations.
