- Held demanding job as media advisor to the Secretary of Defense, including duty during the 9-11 2001 attack on the Pentagon
- Was the primary press spokesman for recovering operations, rebuilding and antiterrorism issues
- Provided information to the presson all matters concerning casualties, structural damage and force protection of the Pentagon
- Managed public information regarding military base closures and worked with impacted communities on economic redevelopment
- Currently, president of the Palm Springs chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association
- Served on city's Ethics, Transparency and Government Reform Task Force
- Full time resident of Palm Springs since 2012
