Bryan is a Southern California native committed to fighting for middle class families, children, and seniors. Growing up in a house with two public school teachers and union members, Bryan learned the value of hard work and the benefits that come from a great public education.

Bryan attended and graduated from UCLA, and then Yale Law School, where he helped represent tenants in need. After graduating from Yale, Bryan started his career by going into public service and working for a United States federal judge. For the last seven years, Bryan has practiced as an attorney in Southern California, where he has taken on some of the biggest banks in the world, and won.

Throughout his career, Bryan has seen a system in which far too many banks and corporations take advantage of the customers they’re supposed to serve – either because they know they won’t get caught, or, even worse, because career politicians have written the rules to let the corporate special interests get richer at the expense of the middle class. Bryan is running for Congress to fight against those extreme special interests and stand up for hardworking people in the community.

Bryan lives in Valencia, California, with his wife Lisa, who serves as a Deputy City Attorney in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

Lou Vince is a California native who has devoted his life to public service. He attended Western Illinois University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. It was at this point that Lou decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, feeling an overwhelming need to serve our country.

Lou’s military career brought him back to California, and it was in 1995 that he decided to stay in Los Angeles County to build a career in law enforcement and start a family. Lou began his career with the Los Angeles Police Department where his leadership skills were recognized and he quickly rose through the ranks as a Field Training Officer, Sergeant, Detective Supervisor, and Lieutenant.

He has provided leadership and oversight for many complex law enforcement operations, and he was heavily involved in the opening of the LAPD’s Mission (2005) and Topanga (2009) Police Divisions, openings that today are rare. Lou also served as a Level I Reserve Deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for four years. In 2010 he completed a Master’s Degree in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California-Irvine.

In 2006, Lou married his wife, Stacey. They currently have four children, two of which were fostered and adopted through the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Lou and his family currently live in Agua Dulce, where he is actively engaged in the community, serving as Team Manager and Coach for Canyon Country Little League Baseball and as an elected member of the Agua Dulce Town Council.

Truth

As individuals we must be willing to use our higher faculties of reason, critical thinking and keen observation to cut through myths spun by self-interested institutional powers. Should we wish to create a more free society, we must dedicate ourselves to understanding the world as it is, but also boldly strive to manifest our deepest passion for what what we may become. 

Equality

We all have an equal right to be treated with human dignity and respect no matter our age, race, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or nationality. We are not meant to have power over one another, but to empower one another. Dedication to equality requires us to release all oppressive beliefs and practices.

Peace 

We must be vigilant in our quest to cultivate a culture of peace at home and abroad. So long as we believe a path to peace is impossible, it will not appear before us. Therefore, we must hold peace steady in the forefront of our hearts and minds to open new channels of communication and understanding between ourselves and others. This requires us to meet conflict with wisdom and compassion so that we may be equipped to disarm anger and aggression with non-violence. 

Freedom

Freedom is found within when we rid ourselves of thoughts, ideas and beliefs obstructing us and others from recognizing and realizing our greatest potentials as individuals and as a society. To me, the role of government is to rein in abuses and foster a social environment where we can explore, create, associate and experience life fully without the threat of harm or exploitation.  

Sustainability 

Long term sustainability must be considered in all our decision making. Short sightedness can have damaging consequences to our health and wellbeing as individuals and as a nation. If we are smart, we learn from history, from observing what works and what doesn't, and ask always, "Is this sustainable?" This is especially important as we look to the economic and environmental challenges our nation faces moving forward and how we may choose to address them. Let's be sure we're making big picture decisions to ensure an abundant future for the next generation.
