Biography

I grew up in Porterville and I'm pleased to raise my children here, in the community I call home. My husband and I have three children, all have been students in the Burton School District, with the youngest still attending elementary school in Burton School District.
I served 4 years on the Burton School Board and after a short break, I'm looking forward to serving the Burton District again and supporting the District in moving forward. For the past 10 years, I've served on a local non-profit board for Leadership. I believe these leadership and servant roles play an important part of serving our community and our youth.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I'm a fiscal conservative, who believes the Tax Payer money should be used responsibly. I believe the Burton District Board of Trustees positions should be unpaid, as it had been when I was on the Board.  School Board Trustees should be focused on education and ensuring we are working to benefit the district students, and supporting the staff and equip them to best educate our students. It is my belief that political positions should not be used for personal gain, or political agendas, but for bettering our community, and in particular, a school board position should be used to support the growth of our district and the education of our students.
