COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO

Treasurer-Tax Collector

DAN MCALLISTER

San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector

Delivering On My Promises to You: It has been my honor serving as your Treasurer-Tax Collector.

When you elected me, you wanted strong steady leadership in this office. I have emphasized customer service and provided timely, accurate billing, collecting and investment services for the County.

Safeguarding Public Funds: Our work in managing the County’s $10.8 billion investment pool has earned the highest rating from Fitch ratings (AAAf/S1). We invest and safeguard funds for all 42 public school, community college and 163 special districts throughout the county. This year we collected more that $6 billion in property taxes and achieved a 99.2% collection rate.

Solid Accomplishments: Our office speaks 17 different languages providing better customer service for taxpayers. 58% of all taxes are now paid on-line. San Diego’s first on-line property auction generated more than $7.8 million in recovered tax revenues for the County.

Endorsements: Former County Assessor Gregory J. Smith; San Diego County Deputy Sheriffs; Deputy District Attorneys; District Attorney Investigators; San Diego City Police Officers and other Public Safety Officers.
