United States Military Academy, West Point NY Bachelor of Science, Physics & Engineering (1988)

My lifelong calling has been public service. This has led me to my greatest challenges and accomplishments.

I am a graduate of the United States Military Academy – West Point, class of 1988. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree and an officer’s commission, I led soldiers into battle in the 1991 Iraq campaign (Desert Storm) and received a Silver Star commendation for my actions. This training, experience, and insight has been my guide-post ever since.

Between the years of 2002 to 2015 I had the privilege of serving as a police officer in La Verne. I have personally seen what our community faces every day – our difficulties and our triumphs. Whether on patrol or as School Resource Officer, I dedicated myself to helping others in any way possible.

I now teach forensic science at our local high schools. We have amazing students, it is a joy to be their instructor. Ironically, they teach me more about themselves than I ever thought possible – their goals, fears, and hopes.

All of this has provided me with great insight to what our community needs. Our city deserves experienced, hard-working, devoted leadership. Please allow me to serve you as your City Council Member.

Honesty and integrity are more important to me than anything else. If a decision is based upon this concept, it will seldom be wrong.

Complacency is inexcusable. Trust, but verify.

The civil rights of one individual supersede the happiness of the rest of us.

Don't spend money you don't have on things that you don't need.
