I am lucky to have lived in South Lake Tahoe for 9 years and grateful to be raising my children in such a wonderful place. I received a Masters Degree in Land Use Planning from UNR and am currently a solution oriented Senior Planner at Midkiff & Associates. My commitment to community service led me to the Leadership Lake Tahoe program, board membership with the Tahoe Drug Free Coalition and the Chamber Government Affairs Committee. I actively raise community awareness about climate change and address local concerns that arise as a result of this growing issue. I work passionately to ensure a prosperous future for Tahoe’s economy while preserving its unique culture.   For more information please head over to my Facebook page or my   Website

Political Beliefs

I am asking for your vote on November 8th to work with every one of you to bring about positive changes that support our community, our environment and our economy.

To repair STPUD’s aging infrastructure, we could see much larger rate increases in the next 10 - 15 years than we are seeing now. Through the installation of solar power on STPUD’s 3,000 acres of land in Alpine County, we could lower energy bills, fight climate change and use those saving to finance infrastructure, repairs, and fire protection, instead of continuing to raise your rates.

Fire is the single greatest threat we face and with a percentage of our water distribution system undersized it does not provide appropriate fire protection.  We need to ensure that when fire comes, our fire departments have the correct tools and are fully prepared to fight it.

STPUD’s high construction permit fees negatively impact homeowners and small businesses. As a Land Use Planner, I have seen projects stopped as a result of high fees. When a project stops we have community members out of work, equipment not being sold and a reduction in our home values. I would work to implement a sliding scale for fees so that every one of us in this community has an opportunity to improve our home or business.

I would be honored to receive your vote on November 8th.
