For over twenty years, GREG PETTIS has been on the frontlines of the effort to improve our quality of life and protect the things that make Cathedral City such a great place to live.

In addition to his duties as our Councilmember, Greg has served as the Executive Director of the Palm Springs Youth Center, President of Cathedral City’s Evening Rotary Club, President of the Desert Business Association, and a Boardmember with both United Cerebral Palsy of the Desert and Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy. His extensive record of regional leadership includes serving on the Boards of the Riverside County Transportation Commission, the California League of Cities, and the National League of Cities. He is also a past-President of the Southern California Association of Governments.

Greg earned his bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacifi c University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He is a graduate of the State and Municipal Government Program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Greg has lived in Cathedral City since 1979.
