Our Water & Our Future
The importance of conservation and planning for the future
As a Director of both Helix Water District, and our wholesaler, San Diego County Water Authority, my ongoing goals include maintaining our current policies including less dependence on imported water from Metropolitan Water Authority, supporting our conservation efforts, increasing our local water supplies through desalination and water recycling, and supporting long range planning (50-100 years) for our children and grandchildren's future benefit as our forefathers have done for us. Transparency is most important. As a Director, our job is to represent the ratepayers in setting these policies and keeping water rates low. Currently our water rates are one of the lowest in San Diego County
