My Top 3 Priorities

  • 1) Narrow the achievement gap. I will promote equity across all schools and students--advocate policies that will put programs, resources and qualified personnel to under performing school; prioritize teachers working condition.
  • 2) Educate our students to be well-rounded and employable. I will ensure curriculum, apprenticeship and afterschool programs are available that will engage students in creative and scientific activities in science, technology, engineering, music/art.
  • 3) Be fiscally responsible. Maximize bond revenues; avoid waste and redundancy not only in school construction projects but also in the administration of the district. I commit to engaging the Oversight Committee for real oversight .
