Robert knows the importance of protecting our environment, creating open green space, and making sure everyone has access to our coast. As Mayor and Councilmember, Robert kept his promise and helped reduce greenhouse emissions by opening three new parks in his city. As our Assemblymember, Robert will work to introduce legislation to bring environmental justice to our communities. 

That is why he is endorsed by enviromental leaders like Congressman Ted Lieu, Senator Ben Allen, and Supervisor Janice Hahn.

As the father of three daughters, Robert knows that prioritizing public safety is the right choice for our families. He believes in addressing the roots of crime, investing state dollars in our neighborhoods, and he will be an advocate for criminal justice reform that holds people accountable while investing in rehabilitation, treatment, and community policing.

As our next Assemblymember, Robert will fight to expand affordable housing by reducing the rising costs of rent, creating high paying jobs, and making home ownership more affordable. Robert will also fight to ensure that we are combatting our homelessness crisis by providing wraparound mental health services and creating the renter and mortgage relief trust fund to assist struggling homeowners and renters.
